Food for Elders powered by Food Innovate
Together with Enterprise Singapore (ESG), the trade and enterprise development government agency, ELDEX Asia features a group of Singapore companies that will be showcasing new products developed to meet the unique needs and preferences of elderly consumers, ranging from ready-to-eat meals, protein-rich natural foods, as well as calorie and nutrient-dense snacks, desserts and beverages.
Food for Elders is an initiative under FoodInnovate, a multi-agency effort led by ESG. Other agencies include the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR); the former Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA); the Economic Development Board (EDB); the Intellectual Property Intermediary (IPI); and JTC Corporation (JTC).
Youth Partnership Showcase by Republic Polytechnic
As the only tertiary institution that offers a comprehensive diploma programme regarding care for the elderly, Republic Polytechnic (RP) is an Education Partner at ELDEX Asia. RP students will be contributing through:
- Dispensing advice relating to diet and exercises, and administering a series of complimentary tests and health checks. Students from the School of Sports, Health & Leisure will put to practice what they have learnt in school at ELDEX Asia.
- Producing short awareness videos on matters relating to ageing. Students from the School of Sports, Health & Leisure will produce them as part of their final year project. Videos will be circulated on ELDEX’s social media channels including Instagram, FaceBook, LinkedIn and upcoming YouTube channel.
- Producing short films highlighting aspects of ageing. Students from the School of Technology for the Arts will produce these stories. The films will be available on ELDEX’s upcoming YouTube channel.
